My name is Joy Healey, and I live in the beautiful city of Norwich in the United Kingdom.

I qualified as a nutritionist after a 3-year course with Patrick Holford’s Institute for Optimum Nutrition, then rather than seeing clients I decided to work online, as it suited my family responsibilities at the time.

In the final year of my studies, my dissertation topic was “Magnesium and Migraine”, because I had suffered badly with migraines for many years.

Having ‘cured’ myself of migraine, using natural methods, I’m moving on to “Insomnia relief” as my next topic, and a retirement project.

A blog devoted to the topic seemed the way to go, as I have always loved writing. In fact immediately after qualifying I became sub-editor and contributor to the peer-reviewed “Nutrition Practitioner” journal for about 4 years.
